Be happy? Be healthy? Have family & friends? Live individuality? Make your own decisions? Find meaning in life? A secure job with a secure income? Consistency or always discovering something new? Salary increases? A house? ... ?

Professional development? Be an expert or an executive? Have responsibility? Live values professionally as well? Reach a certain hierarchical level in a company? A steadily increasing income? A company car of a certain class? Run or build up a successful company with employees? ... ?
Personal success is personal satisfaction that results from individual meaning- & value-based goal achievement, which can also be subject to a certain degree of luck & chance. This satisfaction can result from all areas of a person's life. In this respect, personal success can essentially depend on professional success, but it does not have to.
You only have one life, which is finite in terms of time, talent & energy! For this reason, you should intensively deal with the question of what is really important to you and what you want to achieve in your life? ... your realistic life plan?
It should be taken into account that everyday influences (pressure to earn & perform, external determination, etc.) often prevent a clear view of actual goals & wishes or can cause people to stray from their path!
Career, on the other hand, is the professional development of a person. It generally means climbing a "career ladder", to the top of a company, increasing responsibility and rising income. In today's world, expert careers are becoming increasingly important alongside executive careers.
However, be aware in your career planning that there is no absolute certainty for one plannable long-term happy career!
Ideally, you will find a career path that gives you options as well as a sense! ... and that doesn't just have you "chasing" from one goal to the next!
