Sameer Karkhanis holds a bachelor's degree in electronics from the University of Mumbai in India, a master's degree in management studies from the Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), affiliated with the University of Mumbai, and an MBA – Post Graduate Diploma in Management for Executives (PGPEX) – from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta).

He began his professional career as an IT Consultant and Project Manager at Tata Consultancy Services, India's largest technology services company, where he implemented new technological systems for renowned clients such as General Electric and McKinsey, working together with their teams. He then worked for OST International Corp. in the United States as a Technology Consultant and Team Leader and later as a Project Manager and Team Leader at Quinnox Consultancy Services, where his responsibilities included IT system integration for a Japanese trust bank.

Further stages in his professional development include his role as Project Manager for System Transformation at ICICI Bank, India's largest private bank at the time, where he was responsible for the migration to new technology platforms, and his role as Head of Western India at the global logistics company Bertling Logistics, where he was regionally responsible for developing and implementing multinational logistics solutions.

After around 15 years of professional experience, Sameer Karkhanis moved into human resources and management consulting. As a principal at Hunt Partners, he was responsible for successfully filling specialist and management positions (particularly C-level positions) for well-known companies, industry leaders and global corporations. After working as Talent Acquisition Leader at DAMAC Properties in Dubai, he started his own business as a Human Resources and Management Consultant in 2018.

To date, Sameer Karkhanis has built up extensive expertise in key growth industries in India, with in-depth knowledge of industry structures and trends, particularly in the areas of technology, logistics, supply chains, durable consumer goods, manufacturing and retail.

He also holds certifications as a Quality Analyst (CQA), Six Sigma Green Belt, Java Programmer (SCJP) and Web Component Developer (SCWCD), which he obtained from renowned institutes such as the Quality Assurance Institute and the Sun Education Institute in India.
