Rudi Bollen studied economics at University of Ghent/Belgium and graduated with a Master of Science in Financial Sciences. He also earned a Master of Music from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent and a degree as music pedagogue from HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Ghent.
After completing his studies, he began his professional career as District Manager at Group 4, now part of G4S Secure Solutions, where he was responsible for business development and operational management and managed up to 120 employees, primarily in the field.
He found a new challenge as Process & Programme Manager at the DHL Deutsche Post European Shared Services Centre, where he was responsible for the conversion of processes to SSC (Shared Services Centre). In his subsequent 10-year career with the DHL Deutsche Post Group, his successes led him to become Global Portfolio Manager, then Head of Integration, Transformation & Optimisation and finally Head of Finance Transformation & Optimisation EMEA. During this time, his responsibilities included leading the global optimisation of financial management, managing project management and financial transformation teams, as well as developing and setting up new Finance Shared Services Centres.
Over the next approx. ten years, Rudi Bollen gained extensive experience in various functions and industries. He was Programme Manager for Digitalisation in Retail at Colruyt Group, Global Director for Finance Transformation programmes in the transport and logistics sector at UTi Worldwide, ICT Manager at Argenta Banking & Insurance, Programme Manager for Integration & Transformation in the environmental services sector at Renewi, Head of Programme Management and Member of the European Executive Committee at Huntsman Worldwide Chemical Industry, CEO of GEVACO Lawyers, as well as finally Head of Programme Management and Member of the Executive Committee in the retail sector at CASA International.
During this time, he was responsible, among other things, for business development, change management and supply chain optimisation, achieved a 24% increase in EBITDA growth for one company, as well as optimised the finance and controlling organisations and shared services centres in the United States, South Africa and the Philippines.
For several years now, Rudi Bollen has been successfully applying his extensive experience in the development and implementation of strategic and complex goals, as well as in M&A integrations and business transformations for his clients. Furthermore, he has experience in leading and motivating cross-functional, multicultural and globally distributed teams.
