Hermintje Antoneta has a Bachelor of Economics with a major in Management from the University of Indonesia and a diploma in spa teaching and assessing, a specialised spa training course from the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC). She has also obtained various certifications in holistic spa therapies from renowned locations in Bali (Indonesia), Thailand and India.
She began her career as a spa manager for 4- and 5-star hotels and resorts in Bali, the Maldives and Vietnam, where she gained extensive knowledge in spa operations management, customer service, sales and marketing, human resources, finance and more.
Building on this expertise, she transitioned into the role of a spa consultant, where she managed the establishment of spa and wellness centres in hotels, resorts and day spas in Indonesia, the Maldives and Vietnam. In this role, she oversees the entire process from the initial business development plan to operational launch. Her responsibilities included concept development, design and branding, financial planning, service and menu design, staff recruitment and training, sales and marketing programmes, creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other essential topics.
Hermintje Antoneta has extensive expertise in management consulting, management practices, spa management, opening management of new hotels and resorts, transition/rebranding and change management. To ensure alignment with corporate goals and high service standards, she often manages the recruitment, talent search and onboarding processes for all required employees, including spa, wellness and fitness staff.
In the case of longer-term projects, starting with the construction of new hotel and resort facilities, she often acts as interim and opening manager, ensuring a smooth development, opening and handover to the future management.
