Guillem Gallardo Batlle studied at the Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) and successfully completed his studies with a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering. During his professional career, he furthered his qualifications with an MBA from the ESADE Management School (Esade Ramon Llull University) in Barcelona. In 2014, he expanded his qualifications with a General Management Programme (PDG/Programa de Dirección General) at the IESE Business School (University of Navarra) in Barcelona.

He began his professional career after receiving his first master's degree at Mercedes-Benz, where he was accepted into a training programme for young engineers as a Production Engineer.

Guillem Gallardo Batlle quickly rose through the ranks to become General Manager and subsequently worked successfully for various industrial companies. In his role as General Manager, he was repeatedly responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans as well as the consolidation, restructuring and realignment of companies. His experience also includes the confident management of international projects and the development and implementation of successful solutions in the areas of operations and business development.

He gained his first experience as a General Manager at Spanish company CIE Automotive (an IBEX 35 company). One of his most notable achievements was the conclusion of a technical licensing agreement with Japanese company Tokio Buhin Kogyo (TBK) for the manufacture of oil and water pumps for the automotive market. This project began with an initial order from a leading European car manufacturer, which was followed by other successfully implemented projects. The effective use of synergies between TBK (Japan) and CIE (Spain) within the joint venture that was established was crucial to its success.

After twelve years in this position, he moved to a private equity firm, where he became General Manager at SEDAL S.L in Barcelona, a leading manufacturer of components for the fittings industry. His successes include winning numerous international customers, realigning the group, establishing two new factories in China and achieving historic record sales.

Guillem Gallardo Batlle then continued his career as Managing Director of the Spanish subsidiary of the American company Bergstrom, a leading manufacturer of cabin climate systems for commercial vehicles and off-highway machines. During his approximately five years with the company, he led it out of the loss zone and developed it into the most profitable company in the entire Bergstrom Group. This was achieved primarily through improvements in operational KPIs through lean manufacturing, continuous improvements in production processes and increases in sales.

In 2022, he decided to become self-employed and began a career as an Interim Manager and Business Consultant in the areas of corporate strategy, sales and operations management, as well as temporary executive management. His industry experience includes the automotive industry, the packaging industry, and manufacturing in general.

Since July 2023, he has been an accredited strategy Advisor for ACCIO (the Catalan Government's economic development agency). He speaks English, Spanish, Catalan, French and German.
