Chris Hennigfeld studied computer science at the University of Münster and graduated with a Master of Computer Science.

After graduating in 2007, he began his professional career at imbus AG, a medium-sized provider of software testing services, tools and training in Germany, where he quickly took on a management position in development and coordinated the company's outsourced projects. He worked on site in Shanghai/China for three years, managing a team of 10 offshore engineers.

He then moved to Singapore, where he spent the next four years further developing his technical and leadership skills in technology and product development. He became Chief Software Engineer for Asia at BellaDati Pte Ltd, a global provider of agile SaaS business intelligence and data analytics. Chris Hennigfeld was Technical Director responsible for all APAC activities, including engineering management and sales and pre-sales support for major customers such as Samsung, Singtel and government authorities.

In 2014, he decided to take on a new challenge and founded an EdTech start-up aimed at schools and providers of workplace training. As founder and CTO, he was responsible for product strategy, product development, quality assurance, roadmap, lead generation, financing, stakeholder and supplier management.

About two years later, he sold his shares and rights to his company to Singapore's largest provider of professional training and decided to use his business and technical expertise to support other founders, entrepreneurs and companies in the role of IT/Software and Technology Consultant.

Since then, Chris Hennigfeld has worked for a wide range of clients, including temporarily as CTO.

For example, he built SiteOwl from the ground up together with the founder, with the goal of creating a SaaS platform for the secure management of highly sensitive customer data. He headed the technology division with 15 of the 50 employees who were hired to build the company. As a result, the company won several industry awards, its developments became an industry standard for the US security sector, and its customers now include multinational companies such as Amazon and Microsoft.

He also developed a payment processing system for Payment21, a Swiss financial services provider, that enables merchants to accept Bitcoin payments while technical and regulatory requirements are handled smoothly in the background. Another example is his work as a Digital Transformation Consultant at TVT, a media services provider for major broadcasters such as the BBC and Netflix. There, he was responsible for transitioning the operations of 5,000 employees and subcontractors to a fully cloud-based infrastructure and operations with integrated reporting and trend analysis capabilities. He coordinated 6 internal and 5 external team members.

Chris Hennigfeld is a Certified Scrum Product Owner and ISTQB Certified Tester, which underscores his product and technical expertise, and is winner of the Austrian ‘Constantinus Award’ for excellence in consulting.

He has particular experience in developing digital products and entire companies and has already helped several clients obtain venture capital financing. He leverages his experience in digital transformation, is an early adopter of AI and uses a range of tools to increase efficiency.
