Omer Jeanin Ilboudo studied Economics and Business Management at the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, earning a bachelor's degree and then a master's degree in Economics and Management of Companies & Organisations. He furthered his academic education with a diploma in Resource Mobilisation & Partnership Management at Senghor University Alexandria in Egypt and another master's degree in Project & Program Management at the Scientific Institute Campus in Burkina Faso.

After graduating, he began his career as a Consultant at Agromines International Sarl in Burkina Faso, where he coordinated training programmes and thus supported the education of around 660 young people in agricultural, forestry and fisheries techniques. He also developed strategic management tools for NGOs and agricultural cooperatives, as well as a standard-setting handbook for administrative, financial and accounting procedures.

He then became a Business Consultant for Burkina Faso's National Support Programme for the Agricultural, Forestry and Pastoral Sector (PAFASP/Agro-Silvo-Pastoral Project). In this role, Omer Ilboudo evaluated and monitored over 200 sub-projects, provided technical and financial advice, supported the financing of SMEs in agriculture and agro-industry, as well as ensured the final certification of the projects carried out.

For about 10 years, he has been working as an independent Consultant and Trainer in the areas of project management, business development, monitoring and evaluation, financial management and the development of eco-enterprises, supporting organisations such as the FAO and UNDP, NGOs, major donors and various local companies. His expertise also includes training professionals in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R), mobile data collection (KoboToolbox) and results-based management.

Omer Ilboudo holds several subject-specific qualified certifications, including for example in Green Business Development (SEED trainer) in cooperation with the EU, humanitarian principles and protection (HQAI, DRC, SPONG) and financial education. He has also received prestigious awards, such as the Palme d'Or for Burkinabe Entrepreneurship and as winner of the Tony Elumelu Foundation's Entrepreneurship Programme.

In addition to his professional activities, Omer Ilboudo is President of the Song-Taaba Association for Development, Coordinator of the YOLEMDE 1 project for local Economic Development and ‘Green Entrepreneurship’ (UNDP) and Ambassador for Africa Food Changemakers (AFC). He is also initiator and promoter of Omer TV Radio, a platform for fostering peace, social cohesion and sustainable entrepreneurship.
