After two years, she moved from the chemical engineering area to HR and, over the course of more than 25 years, developed into a leading HR expert and executive. She joined Rexam Beverage Can Company in the Russian Federation, which was part of Rexam in London/UK – a global aluminium packaging company at the time that was acquired by Ball Corporation in 2015. She became HR Manager and progressed to Regional HR Manager at Rexam Beverage Can Company in Belgrade/Serbia, responsible for HR activities in the Russia, Sweden and Denmark region.

Following the acquisition of Ball, Tatiana Gabelia became Regional HR Manager, responsible for HR activities in the sub-region comprising the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic. She managed a team of 9 employees and was responsible in particular for the recruitment, training and retention of employees as well as executives. Due to her success, she was promoted to Regional HR Director & Global Shared Services, then to HR Director of an even larger sub-region, and finally to HR Director & EMEA Improvement Project Lead. She was responsible in particular for leading EMEA initiatives, HR Shared Services, process optimisation and RPA (Robotic Process Automation), managing the HRIS (Human Resource Information System), overseeing global policies, HR due diligence in corporate acquisitions, as well as transformation processes and change management.
