Leonardo Bar holds a Bachelor of Management and Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and over the course of around 25 years, he developed into a top C-level Consultant for finance and corporate management with extensive technical and management experience.

After completing his studies, he initially worked as a financial analyst at IP Capital Partners and later at Banco Modal, where he first became an expert in market analysis, internal controlling, budgeting, planning and forecasting.

He then developed to the Financial Director of HSA (Hair Styling Applications) in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, a Brazilian subsidiary of an Italian cosmetics group, responsible for finance and controlling, and then to Executive Director at Docas Investimentos S/A in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, responsible as Managing Director for corporate governance and strategy and as Financial Director for several of the group's portfolio companies.

Further on in his career, Leonardo Bar became CFO, COO and CEO at Afferolab in São Paulo/Brazil, a Brazilian leader in continuing education specialising in corporate training solutions (digital/SaaS technologies, hybrid, with tailor-made content and design). Here, he was initially Head of the Corporate Centre (finance, IT, legal, administration and human resources) and was also responsible for several M&A acquisitions, including post-merger integrations. As CEO, he then led the company after the founders left and was responsible for the strategic plan, restructuring measures and managing the sale process of the company. He also works directly with international corporations such as IFC (International Finance Corporation) and Bertelsmann AG.

After more than 20 years of professional experience, he started his own business as a C-level Consultant for finance and corporate management. In the field of finance, he takes a ‘CFO as a Service’ approach, which means he provides comprehensive advice ranging from strategy development to operational implementation. His consulting expertise extends beyond accounting and controlling to include capital procurement and fundraising for start-ups and companies in scaling or restructuring phases. He also draws on his extensive experience in the areas of law, compliance, procurement, human resources and technology, which he has also managed in the past, as well as his experience with SMEs, private equity funds, family businesses and international corporations.

He is known for his both general and detailed knowledge as well as his practical implementation skills, which make him unique overall. His goal is to translate business and financial complexity into clarity and implementation so that start-ups and established companies can grow operationally with structure and strategy.
