Fernando Rodrigues holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations from the Catholic University in Beira/Mozambique. He is also a certified labour economics expert, certified ethics officer, certified corporate governance officer, certified compliance & risks manager as well as a certified expert in strategic human resources development.

After graduating, he began his professional career at Electricity of Mozambique, which employs around 6,000 people in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. He became Human Resources Manager in the Niassa region, responsible for managing all HR processes in the region, such as HR reporting, talent management, performance appraisal, compensation management, recruitment and outplacement, as well as coaching and mentoring. Due to his success, he then became Human Resources Manager/Coordinator for the entire north of Mozambique. In this role, he was responsible for the entire HR management of a large part of Mozambique, in particular for personnel strategy, HR processes, change management, health management, personnel and organisational development, as well as personnel planning for further expansion in the electricity industry.

Fernando Rodrigues finally became Ethics & Ombudsman Services Manager/Coordinator. In this role, which covered all 6,000 employees, he was responsible for strategies, ethical standards, guidelines, procedures and the personnel handbook relating to the codes of ethics, conduct and corporate governance. He also chaired arbitration meetings in cases such as labour disputes, provided impartial advice to employees and trained them on ethics and corporate governance, and served on a variety of committees, including election, petition and certification committees.

With his many years of success, he has made a significant contribution to Electricity of Mozambique's current status as a leading company in the field of corporate governance in Mozambique, as well as to its high reputation among partners, investors, shareholders and other stakeholders thanks to its best practices.

A while back, he decided to put his extensive qualifications and experience to good use as an HR consultant. He is well versed in all HR management processes, from HR strategy development and implementation, to recruiting and onboarding, performance management, change management, to culture and ethics. Furthermore, he has learned to recognise the potential of employees, to develop them in a goal-oriented manner and to deploy them efficiently in business terms.
