Ellen Ulrich holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie/Brazil, a graduate degree in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil (PUCRS), a graduate degree in Neuroscience & Behaviour from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, and an MBA in Tourism & Entertainment Industry from the University of São Paulo/Brazil (USP).

She began her professional career as an HR Supervisor at Unilever in the food sector, where she was primarily responsible for employee performance appraisals as well as the development and implementation of training measures. She then moved to Telefonica as an HR Specialist, where she was primarily responsible for recruitment and the restructuring of pension funds.

Ellen Ulrich then found a new challenge as HR & Administration Manager at Comptel Communications Brasil Ltda., where she was primarily responsible for supporting the establishment of the company in Brazil as well as planning and structuring the human resources and administration departments. Thanks to her successful work, she was promoted to Head of HR & Administration Latam at Comptel Communications, where she was responsible in particular for managing human resources and administration (in Brazil, Mexico and Argentina), budgeting for human resources and administration, payroll accounting, developing and implementing training and development measures, as well as recruitment and outplacement. Particularly noteworthy are her achievements in introducing a competency-based management model and an evaluation system for more objective remuneration and social benefits.

She took her next career step as HR Manager at Software AG, where she was responsible in particular for executive coaching, recruitment at all levels including onboarding, offboarding/outplacement, contract management, as well as needs-based training and development measures. Once again, her successful commitment led to her promotion to HR Director & Regional HRBP Latam, where she was responsible in particular for implementing global HR programmes at regional level in cooperation with senior management, strategic restructuring in line with global business objectives, as well as cooperation with global competence centres. For Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina), she was also operationally responsible for improving HR processes, developing guidelines and procedures for equal opportunities in the workplaces, qualified assessments of managers and teams, team development, succession planning and other personnel-related issues.

Ellen Ulrich has been working as an HR Consultant for several years now, applying her extensive qualifications gained from decades of experience as a top HR executive in multinational companies in Latin America – particularly in the technology sector – to achieve sustainable results for the benefit of her clients. She is both a solution-oriented generalist for the rapid technological changes, transformations and complex work requirements in Latin America, as well as a specialist in compliance, restructuring, change management and employee lifecycle management.

Among other qualifications, she is a certified Board Advisor/Lean Governance from the Board Academy, a certified Human Resources Manager from Fundação Getúlio Vargas Human Resources Management (FGV), a certified Human Change Management Expert from the Human Change Management Institute in Brazil, a certified Coach and Business Mentor from Sociedade Brasileira de Desenvolvimento Comportamental (SBDC), as well as certified Personal Profile Analyst (PPA) from Thomas International.
