Dr. Grace Sarkis holds a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in International Business Management and a Master’s Degree (MBA) in Business Administration, specialising in Management & Strategy, both from the Notre Dame University in Lebanon. She has also successfully completed a PhD in Business Administration at Charisma University in the UK.
Whilst studying, she worked as a Private Lecturer in Lebanon, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate business students in management, marketing and public relations, as well as elementary and secondary students in mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry. Also whilst studying, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Lebanese American University and as a Credit Officer & Cashier at the Bank of Beirut and Arab Countries (BBAC), where she was responsible for loan applications, interest calculations, financial reports, as well as deposits and withdrawals.
After completing her studies, she began her further professional career at Airlink Lebanon, first as an Administrative Assistant and then as Operations & Customer Service Manager, with particular responsibility for managing the marketing and sales departments, as well as for negotiations and customer service.
She subsequently became Business Development Manager at Micco Logistics in Qatar, where she was responsible in particular for leading the sales/marketing and product development teams, generating leads and acquiring new customers, developing new business areas, as well as establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with customers and business partners. She then went on to become Marketing Manager at Sea Cargo Agency in Beirut, where she was responsible in particular for marketing/sales promotion and advertising/media coordination, conducting market and competitive analyses, as well as developing pricing strategies and marketing plans.
For over 10 years, Dr. Grace Sarkis has been working as a Lecturer at renowned universities in Lebanon and institutes in Kuwait, teaching subjects such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, leadership, strategic management, organisational behaviour, tourism and business English. She also works as a Trainer at the Petroleum Training Centre (PTC) in Kuwait, providing training to professionals in the areas of business communication, proposal writing, social media, etc.
Since completing her PhD, she is also active as a Consultant, based on her cross-functional experience – particularly in business development, marketing/media, sales/customer service, and communication/negotiation – as well as her roles as a lecturer and trainer. She has strong intercultural skills and speaks Arabic, English and French.
