Bethany Wells holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Mississippi State University and a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University, both in the United States.

She began her professional career as a Trainer/Coach in the Community Health & Program Oversight Division of the U.S. Air Force, conducting training courses in Japan, Germany and Portugal on risk communication, regulatory compliance and cross-cultural communication. She then became Public Health Programme Manager at the U.S. Air Force & Air National Guard, where she was responsible in particular for conducting global risk assessments and health audits, advising over 100 stakeholders on safety, operational readiness and health protection, as well as coordinating international public health collaboration in Germany, Portugal and Japan.

Bethany Wells then took on a new challenge as Management Analyst & Program Leader for the U.S. Department of the Navy in Japan, where she was responsible in particular for leading stakeholder engagement between III MEF (III. Marine Expeditionary Force) and global partners to advance DPRI (Defence Policy Review Initiatives) initiatives, as well as supporting cross-border communication with Washington, D.C., Guam and Hawaii. She then became Risk Management Consultant/Operations Advisor for the U.S. Department of the Navy in Japan, where she was responsible in particular for creating and leading the risk management programme for the DPRI PMO (Program Management Office), managing over 50 high-level project risks, drafting the official DPRI risk management plan, as well as advising executives on training needs, organisational planning and strategic decision-making.

She is a certified Executive Coach from the Centre for Executive Coaching in the USA, a certified Associate Coach from the ISF/International Coaching Federation in the USA, as well as certified in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from the United States Marine Corps.

With her extensive qualifications and experience, Bethany Wells now works as an Executive Coach as well as Executive and Business Consultant.

Her expertise includes the development and implementation of strategies and effective solutions in the fields of organisational transformation, performance improvement, leadership development, decision-making, risk management and health protection. In addition, through her many years as a Supervisor and Lead Trainer at Mississippi State University/Millennium Health in the USA – alongside her work for the US Air Force and Navi – she is highly experienced in the development and implementation of new fitness improvement programmes (FIP) to support people in their health and fitness goals.

She combines high emotional intelligence with strong intercultural skills, which she has acquired through her many assignments – including long-term ones – in countries across America, Europe and Asia. She currently lives with her husband in Japan and is committed to the highest standards of ethics, sustainability and social responsibility.
