Amal Turki holds a bachelor's degree in Multimedia & Communication from the University of Human Sciences & Literature in Tunis/Tunisia as well as a master's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Salford in Manchester/UK. She is also certified as a professional international Trainer by The National American Institute for Leadership.
She began her professional career as a Client Relations Manager at New Horizon in Doha/Qatar, where she honed her communication, leadership and customer service skills. She led the customer service team, ensuring a high level of service quality, which led to greater customer satisfaction and stronger long-term customer relationships.
With her next career move, she decided to switch to the human resources arena. Amal Turki became Senior HR Officer at the Ta'allum Group/Al Maha Academy in Doha, where she was responsible for managing the HR team and performing daily HR tasks for 250 employees. Her varied responsibilities included payroll accounting, compliance with local labour laws and personnel guidelines, personnel planning, budgeting, performance appraisals and HR reporting.
Her next challenge was the position of Head of Human Resources at Qetaifan Projects, a real estate development company and subsidiary of Katara Hospitality-Qatar, which was responsible for the largest project in Qatar during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, among other things. Her successes include building and leading a high-performing and diverse HR team with more than 15 different nationalities, applying high ethical standards, and being awarded ‘One of the Best Employers in Qatar’. Her responsibilities also included establishing a new HR infrastructure with new systems and processes, developing and implementing HR strategy, including workforce planning and budgeting, recruiting specialists and executives, developing training programmes, as well as promoting a performance culture with monitoring of reward and recognition programmes to increase employee engagement, retention and productivity. Overall, she was able to develop the human resources department into a strategic partner for other departments and the company's executive management.
Amal Turki is actively involved with the Qatari Ministry of Education as well as volunteers as a Career Workshop Facilitator at Injaz Qatar, which is part of INJAZ Al-Arab, a network of 14 MENA countries that has already prepared more than 150,000 young Arabs for success in a global economy to date.
