Ajay Singh Shekhawat holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Botany & Zoology from the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur/India, as well as a Master’s Degree (MBA) in Business Administration from Maharishi International University (Noida Campus) in Iowa/USA.
After graduating, he began his career in the telecommunications sector and progressively took on senior roles at companies such as Bharti Telenet (Airtel), Shyam Telelink, Vodafone and Aircel. In these roles, he successfully managed the areas of sales, device management and branch operations, whilst continuously increasing market share and customer acquisition metrics.
He then moved to Oxigen Services as Assistant Vice President/Product Management in the fintech and payments sector, where he was specifically responsible for generating annual revenue of around 600 million USD, developing new products, leading a team of product and account managers, as well as successfully driving growth in revenue and margins.
Ajay Singh Shekhawat subsequently became Director of Sales & Sourcing in the EduTech sector at Explore Edutech, where he was responsible in particular for delivering sales presentations, finalising contracts – such as with the Delhi government for over 200 schools, developing a market segment through strategic lead generation, as well as managing an AI-based online community.
A new challenge then was his move into the healthcare sector. Here, he served as Assistant General Manager/National Head of Referral Sales at Fortis Healthcare, then as Head of Sales & Marketing/Global Centre of Excellence for Neuroscience at Aster DM Healthcare, and subsequently as Regional Head of Sales & Institutional Business at Care Hospitals. His achievements include, amongst other things, workflow and process optimisations in sales, the implementation of digital sales force automation, the execution of a wide range of sales and marketing activities, relationship management to develop business and network partners, the organisation of international specialist seminars, and consequently revenue growth of up to 17% per annum. Currently, as Director of Business Development & Strategy, he supports Remotcare Solutions primarily in establishing alliances/partnerships with medical device manufacturers and service providers, as well as in developing a new technology-based customer platform to better engage doctors.
He holds several specialist certifications, such as ‘Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets’ from Harvard University, and, with over 20 years of professional experience in various expert and executive roles across different sectors, is now a strategically minded and results-oriented Consultant.
